Raffles4u: Terms and Conditions for Raffles

Welcome to Raffles4u. These terms and conditions govern your participation in any raffle organised by Raffles4u. Our raffles are conducted in accordance with UK law, including the Gambling Act 2005 and are regulated by the UK Gambling Commission where applicable. By purchasing a ticket and participating, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before entering any of our raffles.

1. Eligibility

1.1. You must be 18 years or older to participate in any raffle hosted by Raffles4u, in compliance with the Gambling Act 2005.

1.2. Participation is restricted to residents of the United Kingdom.

1.3. By entering the raffle, you confirm that you meet the age and residency requirements. Proof of identity and age may be required before a prize is awarded.

1.4. Employees of Raffle4u/ GFOW, their immediate families, or anyone professionally connected with the organisation of the raffle are not eligible to participate. 

2. Licensing and Regulation

2.1. Raffles4u operates in compliance with the Gambling Act 2005. Where required, raffles are registered as "small society lotteries" under this Act.

2.2. For raffles that qualify as a lottery under UK law, Raffles4u may be registered with the appropriate local authority or the UK Gambling Commission depending on the total value of ticket sales.

2.3. These terms and conditions adhere to the rules set out under the Gambling Act 2005 to ensure that all games are conducted fairly and responsibly.

3. How to Enter

3.1. Entries can be purchased through the official Raffles4u platform at https://raffles4u.uk/ or other authorised channels.

3.2. Each raffle will specify the entry cost, the maximum number of tickets available, and the closing date for ticket purchases.

3.3. All ticket purchases are final, and no refunds will be given except in the case of cancellation of the raffle or where otherwise required by law.

3.4. Multiple entries may be permitted, but any limits on the number of tickets that can be purchased per person will be specified for each individual raffle.

3.5. Entries must not be purchased on behalf of individuals under the age of 18, as this would breach the Gambling Act 2005.

4. Raffle Draw

4.1. The date and method of the raffle draw will be specified on the raffle page.

4.2. The draw will be conducted fairly, using either a certified random number generator (RNG) or another independently verified method of random selection.

4.3. If a raffle does not meet the required number of entries or for any other reason must be cancelled, participants will receive a full refund.

4.4. The result of the draw is final, and no correspondence regarding the outcome will be entered into.

5. Prizes

5.1. The prize(s) for each raffle will be clearly described on the raffle page.

5.2. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative unless otherwise stated.

5.3. Winners will be contacted using the details provided at the time of ticket purchase.

5.4. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim their prize within 72 hours of the initial contact, Raffles4u reserves the right to offer the prize to an alternative winner or dispose of it as they see fit, in line with applicable regulations.

5.5. Raffles4u will bear the cost of delivering the prize to winners within the United Kingdom, unless otherwise stated. International shipping costs, if applicable, must be borne by the winner.

6. Payment and Entry Fees

6.1. All entries must be paid for at the time of purchase through the payment methods specified on the Raffles4u platform.

6.2. Entry prices and any associated fees will be clearly stated on the raffle page.

6.3. Any entries that are incomplete, unpaid, or otherwise invalid will not be included in the raffle. 

7. Winner Announcement

7.1. Winners will be notified via the contact details provided upon purchase within 24 hours of the draw. 

7.2. Winners will be announced on the Raffles4u platform and/or social media, but participants may opt-out of such announcements by notifying us at the time of entry.

7.3. By entering the raffle, you agree to allow Raffles4u to use your name and location for promotional purposes, and agree to participate in media related activities when the prize is delivered.

8. Responsible Gambling

8.1. Raffles4u promotes responsible gambling. If you believe you may have a gambling problem, we encourage you to seek help from organisations such as GamCare (http://www.gamcare.org.uk) or BeGambleAware (www.begambleaware.org).

8.2. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate a participant's involvement in any raffle if there are concerns regarding problem gambling or if they are found to be in violation of these terms.

9. Taxes and Legal Compliance

9.1. Any taxes, duties, or other fees arising from the receipt of a prize are the responsibility of the winner.

9.2. Raffles4u will comply with all legal obligations, but winners should seek their own advice regarding the tax implications of their winnings.

10. Liability

10.1. Raffles4u, its employees, or agents will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the raffle or the acceptance of any prize, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

10.2. We are not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, or misdirected due to technical or other reasons beyond our control.

11. Cancellation or Changes

11.1. Raffles4u reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend any raffle at its sole discretion if there are reasonable grounds to do so, such as insufficient ticket sales, fraud, or technical issues.

11.2. If a raffle is cancelled, all participants will be entitled to a FULL refund of their entry fees. 

12. Data Protection and Privacy

12.1. Raffles4u will process personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

12.2. Personal data collected will be used for the purposes of administering the raffle, contacting winners, and complying with legal obligations.

12.3. By entering a raffle, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law

13.1. These terms and conditions, and any disputes arising from participation in Raffles4u, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

13.2. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Postal Entry Requirements 

Eligibility:
The raffle is open to legal residents of the United Kingdom who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Employees, affiliates, and agents of Raffles4u, along with their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate. Proof of age may be required for prize claim.

Entry Method:
To enter the raffle via postal entry, participants must complete a handwritten form including the following information: First name, second name, email address, phone number, street address, 2nd street address, city, county, postcode and country. This must be sent to the corresponding address: GFOW ltd, Unit 145424, PO Box 7169, Poole, BH15 9EL. Each entry must be postmarked no later than 1 day before the end of a raffle to be eligible for the draw.

Entry Limits:
Each participant may submit a maximum of 1 entry. Entries that do not comply with these requirements will be disqualified.

Prizes:
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives. Raffles4u reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.

Data Protection:
By entering the raffle, participants consent to the collection, processing, and use of their personal data for the purposes of this raffle. Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as necessary to facilitate the raffle and prize distribution.

Liability:
Raffles4u assumes no responsibility for entries that are lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete. By entering the raffle, participants agree to release and hold harmless Raffles4u and its affiliates from any claims, losses, or damages arising from participation in the raffle or acceptance of the prize.

Governing Law:
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Gambleing Act 2005.

Acceptance of Terms:
By submitting an entry, participants confirm their acceptance of these terms and conditions. Raffles4u reserves the right to modify or cancel the raffle at any time, subject to applicable laws.
